Information about Español oral en contexto (C-Oral-Rom/ELE)

Español oral en contexto ('Oral Spanish in context') is a complementary teaching material of Spanish as a Foreign Language for intermediate, advanced and proficiency levels (B1-B2 and C1-C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

It offers a selection of speech samples of grammar structures, communicative notions and functions and vocabulary suitable for Spanish as a Foreign Language.

Every structure is shown in its original linguistic context, extracted and transcribed from real speech from the C-Oral-Rom spoken corpus (published by J. Benjamins in 2005).

A descriptive and communicative metodology has been followed for the selection of documents and samples.

In total, approximately 6000 examples are offered in more than 3500 sounds.

This didactic material includes:

• Examples of use of real speech.


• Wide variety of topics and communicative situations:

  • documents from the communication media,
  
  
  • personal anecdotes,
  
  
  • dialogues in business and shops, etc.
  
  
• Different genres and types of oral discourses (monologues, dialogues or conversations).


• Samples of formal and coloquial register.
