PROJECT SUMMARY

This project aimed at the development of a grammar checker demonstrator for Spanish and Greek using ALEP, the Advanced Language Engineering Platform created by the Commission of the European Communities (DG-XIII), as the NLP development platform, a client-server architecture as implemented in the X Windows system, Motif as the `look and feel' interface and Xminfo as the knowledge base storage format.

Although this project has been developed in Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, substantial parts of it, specially all the lingware tasks, have been carried out by researchers bound to the Computational Linguistics Lab at Universidad Autónoma in Madrid.
