• The Instituto Cervantes is the Official Institution devoted to the teaching of the Spanish Language and the spreading of Spanish Culture in the non-Spanish Speaking countries. It offers a service of information on Language Industry events and resources:

• The Institute of Applied Linguistics at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona develops fundamental activities in Terminology and Lexicography and informs about them in Catalan, Castilian Spanish or English.
• The Laboratorio de Lingüística Informática at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid distributes three corpora of Spanish. Those corpora are free for research activities, under the usual conditions:
  1. Spoken Corpus, Peninsular Spanish. (1 Mi. words, included in the European Corpus Initiative, Multilingual Corpus I CD-ROM)
     
  2. Written Corpus, Argentinean Spanish. (more than 2 Mi. words)
     
  3. Written Corpus, Chilean Spanish. (2 Mi. words)
     

  
  

• The Laboratorio de Lingüística Informática at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona develops an electronic dictionary of Spanish and publishes an electronic list on Spanish linguistic activities.
